NOTE: Due to the numerous Linux distributions available, UIT Tech Support cannot provide detailed instructions for install.

Download the installer file here: SPSS Linux Installer.

You can launch it from the Launchpad, or by opening a Finder window, select Applications > IBM SPSS Statistics 28 > SPSS Statistics.

SPSS is now installed, and fully licensed.

If you do not see the Authorization succeeded message, please contact UIT for help.

If the code is accepted, green text should read Authorization succeeded.

Paste the code you copied earlier in the field labelled Enter Code.

Select the Authorized user license option, then click Next.

Launch the newly installed SPSS Statistics app. Click Yes.Ī prompt will ask if you want to move the installer to the trash.

Once the installation is complete, a prompt will ask for permission to access your Downloads folder.

Click Install, then enter your Mac's password, or use TouchID if available.

On the Software License Agreement screen, click Continue, then Agree.

Open the file titled SSC_28.00.00_MacOS.pkg.

Select and copy the complete string of text, then close the file. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same).

Open the text file named SPSS_28_2020_License. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same).

That will result in a folder called SPSS_28_Mac.

Once the download is complete, you may need to expand it by opening the file.

You will receive a confirmation on the next screen.

In the SPSS window, paste the code into the field, click Add, and click Next. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same).

Open the SPSS_28_2020_License.txt file and copy the code.

When the Product Authorization window opens, select Autherized user license and click Next. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same).

Click Finish. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same)

When the installation completes, Start SPSS Statistics 28 License Authorization Wizard now should be checked.

Run the install file ( SS_CLIENT_64-BIT_28.0_M_W_M.exe) and follow the prompts to accept licence agreements, etc. (screenshots are for SPSS 27 but the process is the same).

Browse and select where to extract the files to and click Extract.

Navigate to the SPSS_28_Windows.zip folder.

You will need to sign in with your NDUS identifier.
